We realized our previous email had Friday 6/7 for the meet and greet - please accept our apology for the miscommunication. Meet and Greet will be SATURDAY 6/7 at the Rec Hall from 12-2. Hope to see you there!
We’re reaching out with an important update regarding this weekend’s St. Louis Ultra Draft.
Due to severe weather conditions and safety concerns, we’ve made the tough call to cancel the tournament.
We know this is a major bummer — we were just as excited to hit the fields, connect with new teammates, and soak up the Ultra Draft weekend experience. While the weather isn’t on our side this time, we still want to make the most of the time we have together.
So here’s the plan:
We’re still going full steam ahead with the Meet & Greet at Rec Hall STL in St. Charles, and we’d love to see you there!
📍 Location:
Rec Hall STL – St. Charles
3801 Mueller Rd, St. Charles, MO 63301
📅 Date: Friday, 6/7
⏰ Time: 12 PM – 2 PM
What to expect:
✅ Pick up your team jerseys
✅ Enjoy a chill afternoon with food, drinks, games, and a great crowd
✅ Connect with fellow players and hang out like we’re still gearing up for game time
✅ Chat with the Ultra Draft crew about rescheduling options and next steps
Rec Hall has everything — arcade games, lawn games, ping pong, a full bar, and plenty of good vibes. It won’t be the same as game day, but it’ll still feel like League Joe.
Can’t make it? No worries — we’ll coordinate with you to get your player package and share updates soon.
Lastly, keep an eye out — we’ll be sending out a quick survey soon to collect your address and handle event credit transfers or other follow-up details. Stay tuned!
Thanks for rolling with the punches with us. We’re bummed we won’t be able to play this weekend, but we’re still looking forward to seeing you and making the most of it.
Stay safe, and we hope to see you Saturday afternoon!
Mother Nature has been particularly cruel this year, and we have just received word from the park that we need to cancel the event for this weekend. In addition to the torrential downpour that has affected the fields for several days, there was also a lightning strike on one of the field poles, so… it’s a mess. And there’s more coming.
Knowing many of you have not yet traveled into town yet, we’d rather cancel as early as possible to give you maximum flexibility, rather than cross our fingers and have to disappoint everyone early tomorrow morning.
Our first and primary goal is to alert you as soon as possible to this cancellation, so we are going to keep this email short and sweet. You have a lot of questions about your gear, how your registration credits work, weather policies, etc. and we promise to deliver a longer email with all those details ASAP. For now, here are the highlights:
We lean on our park experts to tell us what is and isn’t possible, and we have already explored (and are prepared to) paying for diamond dry - even at a high cost. The park simply does not believe they’re going to be capable of creating a safe, enjoyable experience - especially if the Saturday forecast of more storms comes through as currently projected.
There is more strong rain in the forecast on Saturday. If no rain happens, we would look at Sunday, but the percentage chance of that happening is low. We are continuing to monitor and if Saturday gets lucky, we will look at options for play but do not feel strongly that it will happen at this time.
All other local parks have also cancelled their events for this weekend. The entire region has been unfortunately drenched.
Thank you all for your understanding as we navigate the logistics of this process and wish Mother Nature had a better plan in store for us this weekend.
Midwestern weather is quite chaotic and while things are looking better for Sat/Sun, the forecast for Friday looks like it will create field conditions that will be no fun for Wiffle Ball or Home Run Derby. Therefore - we are cancelling our Friday plans and instead....
A soggy afternoon tomorrow should give way to a clear evening, so why not take in a Cardinals game instead? After consulting with some of our favorite local players, they've encouraged us to look at the Cardinals game as a place to meetup instead. Here's the details:
Note: This is a bit of an informal meet-up due to the quick shift, so please wear/look for people in League Joe swag and be ready to mingle! Once League Joe staff arrive, we'll try to create a meet up area on the fly.
Hope to see you there!
On Saturday, we have an extra field we can use, therefore we will be running Home Run Derby - AND - Skills Challenge on Saturday. Visit the registration booth to sign up for your time to participate in either or both! Bats will be given away as long as we get at least 20 sign ups so don't forget to visit the registration booth to learn more!
We will have a list of players who paid for Wiffle Ball and will allow for players to convert to another activity, use as merch credit, or ultimately get a refund if they don't see anything they like. Visit the Registration tent!
Don't worry, Free Agents! We haven't forgotten about you! Placement is still on track and you will find out your team tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned!
Hey Ultra Draft Ballers!
We're just days away from taking over St. Louis for an unforgettable weekend of softball, shenanigans, and good vibes. Before you hit the field (or the party), here’s everything you need to know:
No stress! If you're still in the Pending Placement phase, you’ll be assigned to a team! Team balancing will take place Friday morning, and final placement emails will go out around Noon ET.
